I started reading all the reviews people have been writing about the college and decided to get in touch with the school myself. DO Register at Private FET colleges NEW

Hallo all

I see a post of scare tactics that says you may not enroll for at a private college;

The message is misleading, private college are mandated by government to provide tuition where government cannot handle learner turnover.

You can enroll at a private FET as long as you note:

1. Private FET colleges are self funded thus you need to pay for fees yourself

2. Private FET college do not issue qualifications, make sure you are also registered at a relevant body like Department of Education for N1 - N6 ; QCTO for NCV course and at a SETA like SASSETA for policing courses.

3. Make sure you get an exam timetable for all your DOE course and make sure you complete your POE for all your SETA courses.

4. Pay your fees on time, this is where complications come in; if you study at a private college it is your responsibility to keep it a afloat by paying your fees on time and ensuring that you get value for money.

5. You may exit at any point and go to another FET college if you are not satisfied with the college, your primary registration is with the DOE. QCTO or SETA; so do not seat if they persist.

6. Should you also need to further your studies; say you did N1 at an FET college, nothing stops you from registering for N2 onwards at a public FET should you get space.

guys i urge you to look for public FET colleges instead of private colleges.lot of people out there are making thousands each day by so called fly by night,more especially these days.its better to consider public FET where all facilitators are provided, books,bursaries and fees.i dont think i will let my brother to go sandton college because i know i've been there before,nothing is accurate.they just deceive the young people into believing that its real.NO.you have to make up your mind before its too late guys.if i were to mention all the colleges you wouldn't even wanna go to pretoria but because i am not allowed i will only address you all to look for public colleges out there,they are many in polokwane.good luck

Money making skeem college. BAD service in all campuses. The stupid director is buying cars every month and does not pay lecturers. Now engineering students are all suspended for two years because of exam irregulaties. They print certificates at internet Cafe and claim that they are legitimate. The college may be registered but their courses are not registered. Its a fly by night. My parent s money went to the pit. last year It was Police in and out. Fricking College

The students of Sandton College share classrooms (that's a big no no) and sometimes you can find two lectures who teach two different subjects teching in one class, the lecturers & teachers try their best to do their jobs (some of the lecturers & teachers not all of them) and there are lecturers & teachers present at Sandton Technical College that miss lessons/periods or even arrive late/don't even teach the students. The student are also part of the problem also they bunk, miss classes/lessons (to either go smoke or drink, etc.) And they arrive late to campus/school. Some of the Students living in the area in flats or any other form of accommodation due to distance & travel costs have a tendency of not paying the college's fees, they receive the money from parents and spend the money, also the students lie to their parents that they paid the fees or while they are bunking they lie to their parents that they are at College. Sandton Technical College is a good and horrible school to attend, enroll or even to work at & it is that way becuase of greedy, delinquency & lack of authory. Sandton Technical College does not even have College rule book or High school rules! If your desperate apply and throw your money at Sandton Technical College

I agree wth some of u guy, yes the college is poor especially small campuses and the lectures are lazy bcz they don't get paid we must put the blame on the principals ns the managers.I'm one of the students who used to go n complain to the principals but I only realize that, the management weill neva ax the lecturers bcz they knw that they don't pay them all their money.wat I can advise u guys is to work hard nd study on yo own, if there z smthng u dunno u can jus go n ax yo lecturer I'm sure they can hep coz mna that's wat I do most of the tyms n ts wrkng. I registered with them as well on February 2013 paid by my Company everything since then there is no lectures we by our selves and remember we are attending only on weekends in JHB branch . please parents don"t even take your kids to this college they are useless and Cruks.
the lectures told us that the owner does not wanted to pay them that's they diced to pack thier things and leave the school.
There is no Education there its one and some the one is in Prectoria .

I was studying at Sandton Technical College last year and I use to pay school fund every month,the problem is that they don't care about our education the only thing that they know is for us to pay, there is no lectures in that college and I even went to write my exam without attending any class and I've failed while my money is with them, its so pain full
