Church SquareThe Dutch architect, Sytze Wierda designed the church square during the 19th century in the the Italian Renaissance style. The statue of Paul Kruger and the best architecture buildings are just a few of the interesting attractions in the Church Square.Interesting to see is also the Church Street cemetery, also known as the Heroes Acre which was established in 1867. This is where many prominent citizens were buried including Breaker Morant, an Australian executed for the murder of missionaries during the Second Anglo-Boer War.
