Holiday Programme in Centurion Mall
Chanelle loves the great changes for Centurion Mall. Last Friday, a friend and I went out for a scout about at Centurion Mall. I reached there early in the morning, and headed from a faraway entrance to the Wimpy on the upper level. As I made my way, the cold, harsh wind hit upon my delicate, weak face and as it was just about 7:30 a.m. and stores were still closed but preparing to open. I didn’t notice much, all I needed to do at that moment was have the hottest drink I could, and warm up as soon as possible. At first glance everything seemed the same.
Breakfast was lovely, idle chit chat and catching up is always pleasant, but just before I knew it, the initially empty Wimpy was now buzzing with people of all sorts and professions – their day had begun and mine was about to, too.
Time check: 9.00 a.m. – I realise that I didn’t have much time in Centurion, the sun was already out, and people were on the move headed to work and other places, stores were now opening – but something very intriguing caught my eye.
Centurion Mall is now undergoing renovations and drastic developments, if I may add. There are plenty of areas that have been blocked off, like the recreational relaxing areas where the benches and beautiful gardens were, there are new and exciting stores that will be opening very soon like Guess and Aldo, definitely staying in tune with fashion and the biggest highlight for me is that there is now an Apple iStore added to the mix.
The iStore has only opened at the end of June 2012, combined with sheer, chic and minimalistic structure, their friendly, helpful and outgoing staff made my first trip to the store very enjoyable. I am also pleased, as it is very convenient for the fellow Apple users to pop in to the Centurion store as opposed to going out of their way to other areas of Pretoria and Gauteng. A great change for Centurion Mall geeky shoppers.
All in all, with reference to the Milky Lane article, Centurion Mall is definitely one of the malls I have grown up with. All the new developments and changes will certainly add great value to fellow shoppers, and I am very excited to see what more the new mall will hold.
P.S. If you have kids, as part of the “Kids Holiday Programme” with a Putt-Putt course and jungle gym, it will be at Centurion Mall, everyday till the 15th of July – 10:00 a.m. – 17:00 p.m. daily.
