The Capital Arts Festival has brought a unique platform for meeting different people and interacting with different cultures. Being in Pretoria with all different cultures and different embassies, this is very appropriate.
This festival is a strong builder of bridges between international cultures. The presentation of creativity to theatre goers, music lovers, fashion followers and all those interested in the human spirit, an opportunity to delight their senses.
The Capital Arts Festival will run from 25 August to 7 September 2010. Comprising a week-long programme of music, dance, theatre and photography, the festival encompasses a broad range of nations showcasing cultural offerings from their various countries, facilitated by a partnership with their respective embassies, based in Pretoria.
The Capital Arts Festival will celebrate talent from a diverse range of countries that include Thailand, Indonesia, China, Pakistan, Austria, Argentina, Jamaica, Brazil, Italy, and Japan. The Festival is also an important platform for home-grown stars and will cover a wide range of arts from poetry to jazz, dance, exhibitions and drama.
With South Africa extending its arms of welcome to the world, this event promises to remain etched in global entertainment history.
